The family has long maintained that Deborah was a member of the Bachiler Family, but recent evidence suggests she was of no relation.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt one point John lived in Sandwich, Kent, England, where he was a pastor to the Merchant Adventurers at Hamburg where he preached his sermon \u0026ldquo;The Crown Conjugal\u0026rdquo; which was about marriage. This would also be when his son Daniel was likely born. Daniel and his other brothers would later become some of the first settlers of the original Plymouth Colony at Sandwich.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJohn would later become minister to the Society of Merchant Adventures where he likely published two other sermons. \u0026ldquo;Jacob\u0026rsquo;s Staffe\u0026rdquo; and \u0026ldquo;Abel\u0026rsquo;s Offering\u0026rdquo;.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReverend John later was installed as the pastor at the English Church in Flushing, England. This is where Daniel\u0026rsquo;s other two brothers, Stephen and Matthew were likely born. John was paid well for his occupation but I imagine his lavish lifestyle, and living in the city took its toll. His health would fade rather quickly and he never was able to visit the new world that his children would help establish.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of John Wing\u0026rsquo;s last sermons was the \u0026ldquo;The saints advantage or The well-fare of the faithfull in the worst times.\u0026rdquo;. A sermon preached at the Hage on May 18th, 1624 in front of the Queene of Bohemia, Elizabeth.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis sermon has been selected by scholars and considered to be a work of cultural significance.
